Please, note that this Embassy represents the following countries for Schengen visa issue: Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland. If you intend to study, work, or marry to a citizen of one of these countries and will therefore stay there for longer than 3 months, you have to apply to the Embassies of these countries in Moscow .

As a rule, decisions concerning your visa will be taken within 3 working days; however, in case the visa application needs to be referred to the Central Authorities of the Netherlands, it may take 1-8 weeks before the decision is made. Visa applicants travelling to Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland or Luxembourg can be referred to the respective Embassies in Moscow if no decision can be made in the Netherlands Embassy.

The nationals of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, and Sri Lanka require a transit visa to pass the transit zone of the Netherlands Airport .
