PUM Netherlands Senior Experts is a organisation from the Netherlands that aids small and medium sized enterprises (SME’s) in their development practically for free.
For 30 years, PUM provides senior experts to assist local businesses worldwide. These experts are contained in a database of over 4,000 Dutch entrepreneurs, managers and experts who are willing to share their knowledge.
In PUM’s view small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) are the driving force behind economic development. It therefore provides support directly to those businesses that may contribute towards the development of their local economies. In addition, PUM can assist institutions that are capable of creating the conditions that private enterprise requires in order to perform adequately. The Dutch government also considers a healthy private sector an absolute necessity in developing nations.
PUM receives requests from every conceivable sector: commerce, general management, financial management, IT and manufacturing, up to and including queries concerning highly specific technical issues. There is hardly any commercial sector or market for which PUM does not possess in-house knowledge. PUM’s experts advise businesses operating in construction, textiles and clothing, metal and woodworking industries, the chemicals sector, agriculture, environment and tourism.
The Dutch government supports PUM due to its particular focus on private sector development. After all, many other organizations place the emphasis primarily on matters such as public health and education.
