 Private visas

Important information:
You can apply for a visa through a prior appointment made by the onlineBooking system (recommended) or by telephone. 
Applicants without prior appointment will not be received.

Please make sure you apply for a visa well in advance, as the Embassy does not issue visas at short notice.

The consular fee totals to  12300tenge* (equivalent to 60 Euro as per Euro rate on the day of payment) to be paid in cash in tenge in the exact amount at the time of application.
* For nationals of the following countries: Russia, Ukraine, Bosnia, Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, Moldavia, FYROM – consular fee totals to 7200tenge (equivalent to 35 Euro as per Euro rate on the day of payment).

In case your visa application is refused the consular fee will not be refunded.

Step 1

Important! Invitation letters and other visa support documents have to be sent directly to the applicant and not to the Embassy. Please, note that at the time of application you must have the original of the invitation letter.

Step 2

Please report to the Embassy Office IN PERSON (except for children under 12 years old) on the appointed date and time and submit the following documents (After visa is issued passports with visas can be collected by a third person: in this case an original authorisation letter signed by the visa applicant, original and a copy of the ID card of the representative has to be submitted.):

• a passport or an official travel document accepted by the Schengen countries with a blank visa page and valid for a minimum of three months longer than the validity of the visa;
• copy of the page of your passport with personal particulars;
• one application form, filled in in English (in print) and signed by the applicant; If the application includes a child that is mentioned in the passport, a separate application form with two photographs as well as all copies of all supporting documents of that child should be handed in too; Click

• two recent passport-size color photographs (one glued to the application form, another attached by a paper-clip);
• copies of the previous Schengen visas (if available – this facilitates visa processing);
• medical insurance valid in the Schengen countries covering the amount of at least 30000 Euro (original + copy);
• proof of steady income and sufficient financial means of the applicant: for example, employment statement; for private businessmen: a copy of the registration certificate of your company;
• evidence establishing purpose of visit: original invitation from the country of destination + letter of guarantee from the municipal authorities in the country of your main destination;
• copy of the passport or the residence card of the inviting party;
• recent financial statement of the inviting party (salary slip for the last 3 months or bank statement for the last 3 months);
• ticket reservation (upon submission of the documents);
• for students: registration from a school or university and if traveling during study period, certificate from school or university with permission of absence;
• for minors travelling without parents / without one of the parents: notarised authorization of the parents (original + copy) and copies of parents´ ID cards (both sides);

For CIS citizens (not Kazakh nationals): if you plan to return to Kazakhstan after your travel, you are also requested to present registration with local authorities or another documentary basis of your further stay in Kazakhstan + copy;


For foreign citizens: if you plan to return to Kazakhstan after your travel, you are requested to show a Kazakh visa valid at least 2 weeks after your return to Kazakhstan + copy.

Please be informed that incomplete application files will not be processed while it does not contain all required documents. After acceptation of an incomplete application a maximum of two weeks will be allowed to deliver the missing documents. Otherwise the applicant will receive an official refusal.

Please note, that the Embassy has the right to ask for additional documents if this is considered necessary and inquiries can be made.

The visa is one of the conditions to get free access to the Schengen countries. When crossing the border you may be asked to supply the controlling officer with original documents that provide proof of your financial means, of insurance against costs for medical treatment or repatriation, of the purpose of your travel, length of stay, etc.

The Schengen countries include: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic, Malta, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

Step 3

Processing visa applications takes a minimum of 3 working days. If you are not called within 3 working days by a Consular Officer of the Embassy you may conclude that your visa application has been approved and your visa is ready for collection. Therefore it is important and your responsibility to make sure your contact details mentioned on your application form are correct

 

You can pick up your passport with visa on:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 14.00 to 15:00.
