Welcome to the Almaty Office of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands!
The Embassy Office is located in Almaty, the “Southern Capital” of the Republic of Kazakhstan spread at the foot of Tyan-Shan mountains.
The Embassy was officially opened in Almaty in 1995 and since then it served as a central point of communication between the Netherlands and the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan to which it is accredited. The main purpose of our activity is to build favourable political, economic, cultural and human bilateral relations. On August 15, 2006, the Embassy moved to the new capital Astana, leaving the Embassy Office in Almaty. The Embassy in Astana deals with Political and Cultural Affairs, as well as project-management; the Embassy Office in Almaty – with Economical, Trade and Consular Affairs. The Embassy Office in Almaty is an intregral part of the Embassy in Astana.
